L Catterton, a private equity firm linked to LVMH, has confirmed a majority stake acquisition in the sports franchise Hyrox. On 8 September 2026, Infront Sports & Media AG, a Swiss group, confirmed the completion of the sale of its majority stake in Hyrox, which it had held since 2022.

Launched in Germany in 2017 by cyclist and triathlete Christian Toetzke and field hockey player Moritz Fürste, the franchise relies on a standardised concept: a challenge combining eight kilometres of running and eight physical workout stations testing overall endurance.

A fast-growing audience

During the 2025/2026 season, Hyrox, which relies on a network of affiliated gyms, organised more than 100 events in around thirty cities worldwide, bringing together more than 1.4 million participants and more than 1.5 million spectators. Hyrox's valuation is estimated at up to €1 billion, according to Journal du Luxe.

Soutenu par L Catterton, Hyrox organisera une competition à Paris, au Grand Palais, en avril 2027

The investment round also includes WndrCo, an investment firm founded by Jeffrey Katzenberg, former DreamWorks executive, and Sujay Jaswa. "Ce nouveau partenariat associe la marque et la communauté emblématiques d'Hyrox à la vaste expérience de L Catterton en matière de développement d'entreprises à forte croissance dans les secteurs du fitness et de la consommation à l'international", the official statement specifies.

L Catterton already holds investments in the equipment and gym network Peloton, as well as in the premium clubs Equinox and Solidcore. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed by the parties involved.

Next stop: Paris

The Hyrox competition will make a stop in Paris, at the Grand Palais, from 8 to 12 April 2027. The deal would open the way to new growth prospects, but also to Olympic ambitions clearly embraced by the founders.
