Annick Goutal is making its comeback in the United States exclusively at Bloomingdale's, according to WWD. This return follows Interparfums SA's acquisition of the intellectual property rights to Maison Goutal from Amorepacific Europe, completed in 2025 for an undisclosed amount.
The relaunched range includes ten scents, in redesigned bottles. Three new creations join the catalogue: Vanille Des Roches, Le Chèvrefeuille and Voile De Santal. They complement historic references such as Eau D'Hadrien, Petite Chérie, Le Temps Des Rêves, Rose Pompon, Un Matin D'Orage, Tenue De Soirée and Encens Flamboyant. Each 3.4 fl oz eau de parfum sells for 240 dollars.
"Quand nous avons repris la marque, nous voulions rendre hommage aux senteurs historiques et les conserver, tout en essayant vraiment de renforcer un récit exceptionnel", explains Matthieu Sucheyre, director of education and events at Interparfums Luxury Brands, the group's American division.
Pierre Desaulles, chief executive of Interparfums Luxury Brands, frames the challenge around showcasing the brand's heritage. "Nous voulions honorer le récit unique de Goutal et créer un espace où son riche héritage pourrait s'exprimer visuellement et se vivre de façon immersive", he says. He also explains the choice of retailer: "Bloomingdale's était le partenaire idéal, offrant à la fois la plateforme et l'audience pour donner vie à cette vision. Sa forte présence sur des marchés où le nom Goutal résonne déjà en fait un partenaire naturel et évident pour ce nouveau chapitre de la marque."
On the retailer's side, Elizabeth Miller, vice president and divisional merchandise manager at Bloomingdale's, recalls a personal attachment to the brand. "Quand j'ai appris qu'Interparfums ramenait Annick Goutal, j'ai immédiatement été transportée à mon cours de danse classique dans les années 1990, mon professeur, que j'idolâtrais, portait Petite Chérie. C'est le type de lien émotionnel que cette maison suscite, et c'est exactement pourquoi nous sommes ravis de nous associer à ce relancement américain, en exclusivité", she says.
According to WWD, the launch is set to take place in October, in eight Bloomingdale's stores as well as online.
A heritage dating back to 1981
Annick Goutal, a former pianist and model, launched her eponymous brand based in Paris in 1981, before dying of cancer in 1999. The brand was later acquired by Amorepacific from Starwood Capital in 2011, before joining Interparfums SA's portfolio in 2025.
A growth driver for Interparfums
In 2025, Interparfums SA's sales reached 899.4 million euros, roughly a third of which was generated in the United States. Jimmy Choo remained the group's best-performing licence, with sales of 227.9 million euros, ahead of Coach (200 million euros) and Montblanc (193.2 million euros). The group also holds licences with Lacoste and Lanvin, among others.
Interparfums SA plans to continue its development with the launch of fragrances for Longchamp and Off-White, after acquiring both licences.
