Interparfums, Inc. would have signed a global fragrance licensing agreement with Puma, according to WWD. The product launch would be planned for 2027.

The sportswear brand, based in Herzogenaurach, Allemagne, had had no active beauty licence since its partnership with L'Oréal, which had itself succeeded Procter & Gamble in 2015.

L'opération comes in the wake of another announcement from the American group. Last week, Interparfums Inc. announced the extension of its Roberto Cavalli fragrance licence for twenty additional years, taking the agreement through to 2046.

Nina Jacobsen, head of licensing activities at Puma, is quoted in the announcement. Jacobsen said: « Interparfums has built an exceptional reputation for translating the essence of iconic brands into distinctive fragrance experiences, supported by a proven record of execution, global reach and deep understanding of consumers. Together, we expect to leverage Puma’s cultural relevance, energy and global brand appeal to create a fragrance that will be embraced by consumers around the world. »

An already dense licensing portfolio

Interparfums also manages the licences of Abercrombie & Fitch, Donna Karan/DKNY, Coach, Montblanc, Oscar de la Renta and Van Cleef & Arpels, among others. The group is also the registered owner of several brands, including Annick Goutal, Lanvin, Off-White, Rochas and Solférino.
